70% eat at their desks several times a week; unfortunately this can lead not only to poor nutritional choices but encourages mindless eating as well.

When you eating at your desk you are not focused on your food. Instead, you are sending e-mail, answering the phone, shuffling paper the perfect recipe for overeating. Sure, the office can be full of temptations. Never eat stress reducing foods when you are hungry. Stick with fresh fruit, and ask for steamed veggies, which are nutritionally denser. Soups are generally low in calories, and a soup as a snack is a good idea. Other snacks and appetizers should be boiled, poached, barbecued, steamed or baked. For your protein source, you can eat baked poultry or fish. Have a salad with light dressing on the side. Skip the cracker and cream cheese snacks.
